After starting an agency together in 2011, writing an Amazon bestseller called Pyjama Profit in 2018, the duo is back.

Varun Mayya

Right in my final year of college, I raised ₹1.7 crores for a recruitment startup called Jobspire that helped 1500 companies hire including Uber and Swiggy.

I wrote Bloomsbury published #1 Amazon Business bestseller, Pyjama Profit. Ran 50k+ Avalon community on Discord and helped thousands of students build careers in game dev, finance & more.

We pivoted to Scenes by Avalon, a B2B community platform that has raised pre-series A funding round from angels including Kunal Shah, Gaurav Munjal, Kalyan Krishnamurthy, Tanmay Bhat as well as firms like Tanglin Ventures, Better Capital, Whiteboard Capital, iSeed Ventures and Blume Founders Fund.

Most recently, I co-founded Aevy TV to use the power of AI in storytelling for complex educational topics and make it super fun for you so you never forget. We've been growing exponentially and hit 200k subscribers on YouTube in just 6 months.

Abhinav Chhikara

I got my start in design in 2011 designing iOS apps – since then I've worked with 50+ founders and startups across USA, Europe and India.

I'm the co-author of the Amazon bestseller Pyjama Profit, a freelancing guide Varun and I wrote about our shared experiences in college.

Most recently I was an early employee & the Head of Design at Unacademy, an ed-tech startup that's now valued over $3.4B & has raised from global investors like SoftBank, Sequoia Capital, Facebook, General Atlantic etc.

After spending 2.5 years there, designing one of the biggest live learning platforms in the world, I quit my job to fix the state of design education & founded 10kdesigners.

Since then we've helped thousands of designers navigate their careers and hundreds of designers find jobs at companies like Razorpay, Toppr, Flipkart, Swiggy and more.

When it comes down to it, the technology is pretty early. As early adopters, we want our communities to take advantage of it. Most people are not early adopters and will probably wait and watch for another 6-12 months before taking any action.

We're currently figuring out what would a good first version to launch. The transformation is pretty clear to us, but we'd like to run some more experiments to make it better for the mainstream.
